This beautiful little sensory rice kit includes everything you need to get started!

The highlight is a beechwood flower tinker tray which is formed by six outside petals and a central area.

It is ideal for a wide range of collecting and early maths sorting activities, both indoors and outside, and forms a wonderful base for a sensory rice play experience.

Why rice?

Rice is a great medium for children to play with. Play rice is a wonderful addition to any open-ended, imaginative play or sensory play setup.

It provides the perfect beginning to creating a theme or invitation for your child and it is super easy to clean up once finished.

Benefits of Sensory Rice Play:

  • Encourages children to manipulate and explore materials, building up their fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.
  • Sensory play is an unstructured and open-ended type of play which means they can explore all they want without rules or limitations. This builds their imagination, creativity, and critical thinking.

I have included three 500g bags of rice, in green, pink & yellow, and an assortment of little scoops and spoons to use. There is also a coconut shell that makes the perfect container and scooper.
